Cela fait un mois maintenant que nous avons semé du paturin au Nonicart et aux Crans (voir notre billet ci-dessous du 14 octobre). Le paturin pousse-t-il ???
La réponse est oui !
On a profité des prélèvements d’analyse de sol réalisés ce matin pour prendre la pousse du paturin en photo. Régulièrement, nous faisons analyser le sol de nos vignes, pour voir si les vers de terre et les racines y trouvent de quoi s’épanouir. Car étant donné les services qu’ils nous rendent, on tient beaucoup à l’épanouissement des vers de terre. Sans eux, pas de sol sain. Sans sol sain, pas de beaux raisins (et sans beaux raisins, pas de bon champagne, pensez aux vers de terre lors de votre prochaine dégustation !).
Nous avons donc fait des prélèvements dont les analyses nous permettront de juger de l’équilibre de nos sols. La tarrière n’étant finalement pas très photogénique, on a pris en photo le paturin dans le brouillard du matin (et de l’après-midi aussi…). Et il pousse bien le paturin ! en attendant de savoir quel sort lui réserve l’hiver …

News from our grass
It’s been a month now since we planted bluegrass at the « Nonicart » and the « Crans » (read our post of October 14 below). Has it been growing ???
The answer is yes !
We took our camera with us this morning as we did some earth sampling. Regularly, we carry on analysis on the soil of our vineyard, to see if worms and roots have everything they need to be happy. We care a lot about the happiness of the worms, as we really need them ! Without worms, no healthy soil. Without healthy soil, no good grapes (and without good grapes, no nice Champagne, think about the worms next time you open a bottle of Champagne !).
So we did some earth sampling that will be analysed and give us an idea on the balance of our soils. As the « tarrière » (sampling tool) is not very photogenic, we took pictures of the bluegrass growth in the morning mist (also being evening mist today …). And this bluegrass is growing well ! Let’s see what winter makes of it now.
